Library Krishna Menon Memorial Govt.Women’s College library was established in 1975. The College has a well-Equipped library with over 48000 Books, 50 Journals and magazines. It subscribes to national and regional newspapers. Each department has separate libraries as well, apart from the well-stocked central library. The library maintains reading and reference section. Ideally positioned at the center of the college, it ensures easy access to all departments.
Some of the features that augment teaching/learning processes are: *The Librarian gives an orientation class for every batch to enable students to use better the resources. *Koha software is used to ensure better access to books in the library. *New books arriving in the library are displayed on the New Arrivals rack for two weeks for visibility. *Teachers and library staff encourage students to use more of journals, books and e-resources. *For assignments,seminars and projects teachers insist students to use library and online library resources.
The library provides open access to its documents and any member can browse through the collections which are arranged according to Dewey Decimal Classification(DDC). The library provides an online catalogue to trace the books.The members can also access scholarly literature which is available online through National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N- LIST) of UGC-INFLIBNET.
